Professional Journey:

My journey began as a dedicated Plant Manager, where I honed my skills in optimizing processes and driving manufacturing and quality excellence. Advancing through the ranks, I eventually became Vice President of Corporate Operations, overseeing crucial functions like collections management and contract governance. This role provided invaluable insights into the art of balancing profitability with ethical practices.  In my quest for talent management excellence, I ventured into the world of direct placement staffing, integrating quality liaisons, placing top-talented advisors, and leading a dynamic team of recruiters specializing in light industrial staffing. Together, we navigated the complexities of talent matching, ensuring mutual growth and success.

Beyond the Office:

Beyond my career, I’m an avid outdoors enthusiast, finding solace in camping and boating. Sports, too, hold a special place in my heart, whether I’m cheering for my favorite teams or engaging in friendly games with friends. However, the ultimate source of joy is spending quality time with my family, my anchor, and motivation.

A Kokomo native and proud alumna of KHS, my journey into the world of recruiting commenced shortly after college when I responded to an ad seeking an Employment Counselor. Now, with over 25 years of experience, the landscape may have evolved with changing titles and technology, but the core principles of recruiting remain steadfast in my approach. I am unwavering in my commitment to delivering the optimal candidate and client experience, a mantra that has proven successful throughout the placement of thousands of employees. I never underestimate the profound impact I have had on enriching the lives of those I’ve encountered.

My career has been defined by adaptability, allowing me to seamlessly pivot in response to shifting priorities while maintaining a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a generous dose of humor. I excel in contributing to long-term visions and restoring order to chaotic situations. The passion for full life cycle recruiting still burns brightly within me, as I find fulfillment in addressing staffing shortages and fostering trusting client relationships.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I relish tackling home repairs alongside my husband of three decades. Quality time with my three remarkable adult children and the lively antics of our exuberant one-year-old Great Pyrenees puppy, Poppy, bring joy to my personal life. In a quirky twist, I proudly claim ownership of possibly the oldest Goldfish in Kokomo, affectionately named Big Bob, who entered our family through a local street festival in the early 2000s. Additionally, my knack for creating legendary Halloween costumes, such as a memorable portrayal of Post Malone, adds a touch of flair to my diverse interests.

Clarissa Hernandez

I’m Clarissa Hernandez, and my life story is a testament to the power of perseverance and passion. Born in Mexico and brought to the United States at the tender age of three, my family’s journey was driven by the pursuit of the “American Dream.” Despite facing financial obstacles that prevented me from pursuing higher education after graduating high school in 2013, I refused to let that define my future.
In 2018, I embarked on a new chapter in my career as a recruiter, and from the moment I started, I knew I had found my calling. Over the past six years, I’ve poured my heart and soul into the field of talent management, continuously striving to connect the right people with the perfect opportunities. With each successful match, my passion for recruiting only grows stronger, reaffirming my love for what I do.

Outside of work, my world revolves around my two beautiful children, Yaritza and Alexander, who bring me endless joy and fulfillment. I’m also a proud mom to three adorable poodles, adding a touch of furry love to our home. In my spare time, I love indulging my creative side through crafting. Whether it’s designing business t-shirts, party decorations, or intricate invitations, I find immense satisfaction in bringing my ideas to life. Crafting allows me to express myself in unique ways and add a personal touch to every project.

My journey is a reminder that with determination, passion, and a sprinkle of creativity, anything is possible. Kirk Berry

Originally from Southern Indiana, I began my journey in recruiting back in 1999 during a stretch assignment as a hiring coordinator in “big box” retail management. The experience ignited my passion for connecting individuals with opportunities, prompting me to pursue further education at Indiana University in Human Resources management. Armed with a degree, I embarked on a fulfilling career spanning various HR and recruiting roles over the next fifteen years. Eventually, I chose to specialize in recruiting, drawn to the fulfillment of bringing people together rather than parting ways.

My recruiting ethos is straightforward: “Find great people, great jobs.” Every day, I adhere to this mantra, recognizing the hardworking individuals I serve who seek to provide for their families and themselves. For me, there’s no greater satisfaction than facilitating their journey to a fulfilling career. While it’s tempting to view people as mere statistics, I adamantly refuse to do so, and I’m delighted to find kindred spirits at TMG who share my commitment to people and customer satisfaction.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I take pride in being a devoted “girl dad” to three wonderful daughters, including twins, and sharing a life with my best friend and wife of over 15 years. Drumming has been a constant passion for almost three decades, with multiple albums and global recognition fueling my love for music as a sanctuary to rejuvenate amidst the demands of my career. As a proud Hoosier, I relish a classic Pork Tenderloin Sandwich with mustard (never mayo), and my sports allegiances span from the Hoosiers to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Indiana Pacers, and my cherished NFL team, the Atlanta Falcons.
